About the Association


Supporting Association
The Central European Cognitive Science Association, CECOG is a civil association to promote cooperation in the field of cognitive science in Central Europe, taken in its traditional sense in the geogrpahic sense, and taken in its broadest interpretation in the intellectual domain.

The association aims to foster cooperation between universities and research institutions dealing with cognitive science in the region including such countries as: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

The main activity of the association is to organize the yearly DUCOG conference series, share graduate training information, and to initiate invited lecture series and summer schools.

The organization of the association was initiated at a meeting in August 2008. There, the first organizers responsible for reviewing, organizing, invitation of the tutors, and the like were proposed.
